Dear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to inform you of some changes that will be made with regards to staff roles and responsibilities that may impact upon you and your child. During the next week Mrs Thomson, the current Head of Year 7, will be transitioning to another role within the Trust. Within the Amethyst Trust we have a wealth of expertise that we draw upon to ensure that your child gets the best possible care, support and guidance and we are excited to welcome Mr Taylor into the role of Head of Year 7 at Moreton. Mr Taylor has a vast range of experience in pastoral care and support and has been working successfully as a Head of Year within the Trust for many years.
Transitioning to a High School can be a challenging time for some students and we recognise that your child
may feel slightly anxious at the prospect of a new Head of Year so early into year 7. With this in mind we can reassure you that this decision has not been taken lightly. Both Mrs Thomson and Mr Taylor will be working closely together during the next week to ensure that all students get to know their new Head of Year and there will be many opportunities for them to rapidly establish that important relationship.

Thursday 10th October 2019 between 4:00pm and 5:00pm.
