School Nursing Service
Dear Parent(s)/Carer(s),
Our School Nursing service is available to support with any health related issues for young people here in school. The service can offer help, advice and support for both physical and emotional health needs. Parents can refer directly into the service with any concerns by calling the 0-19 Administration Hub on 01902 4441057.
The school nurses provide a confidential weekly lunchtime drop-in at school offering student support on any health related matters including:
- Physical health worries
- Emotional health and well-being needs
- Weight concerns and keeping healthy
- Immunisation advice
- Concerns about drugs, alcohol or smoking
For year 9 and above students, there is access to a confidential drop-in service for sexual health, including condom distribution scheme, chlamydia testing and pregnancy testing if there is an identified need
The school Nursing Service also operates a Chathealth text messaging service for young people which is advertised within the school:
For further information and support, please refer to the Healthy Child Wolves App and 0-19 Website https://www.royalwolverhampton.nhs.uk/services/service-directory-a-z/0-19-service/
