New Homework Platform for Students

Dear Parents and Carers

We are excited to announce that Moreton School now has access to an online homework platform called “educake”. This is a dedicated homework platform, which offers high quality homework in English, Science, Geography, and Computer Science. The school has made the investment in this platform as it will allow teachers to set high-quality, effective homework and track pupil progress. It sets homework in the form of quizzes as research suggests that quizzes are an effective way to learn and consolidate knowledge and skills

Educake has several others advantages for students such as:

• Students get instant feedback, which explains how to get a question right next time.
• Homework quizzes are based on exam schemes and will allow pupils to focus on key skills and knowledge
• Students can set themselves homework and work independently on their own areas of development

Students will be given their log-in credentials this week and can log-in using the following link

https://my.educake.co.uk/student-login.

Homework will be set weekly and students are expected to access the platform and complete homework. There will also be arrangements made so that students can use school computers to access homework if needed. As homework is so effective in maximizing progress for secondary school students, it is vital that they are accessing the programme every week.
