Scarlet Fever and Streptococcal Infection Information
Dear parents/carers,
Please find attached, information from the UK Health Security Agency regarding scarlet fever and streptococcal infection. It includes the important signs to look for.
If your child is symptomatic you should seek advice from your GP.
If your child is diagnosed with scarlet fever/streptococcal infection they must not come to school until 24 hours after commencing the prescribed antibiotic treatment. Where there is a diagnosis, please can I ask that you inform us as soon as possible.
