Our Uniform Expectations

• School Blazer with School Badge
• White shirt or blouse (top button fastened, short tucked in)
• School tie
• One flat ring
• Black trousers or tartan knee length skirt. Shorts/Culottes, miniskirts, skinny trousers, jeans or leggings are not acceptable
• Plain belt (not thick fashion item)
• Black leather shoes, plain with a low heel
• Black/Grey turban for Sikh students only
• Black/Grey headscarf for Muslim students only

• Jewellery

On the grounds of safety, only one watch and one small ring are allowed this relates to both boys and girls. Sovereign rings are not allowed. Excessive jewellery will be confiscated.

• Earrings

Only one pair of studs or small earrings are allowed (relates to both boys and girls). Only one earring per ear is allowed. Ear spikes or spacers bigger than a 5p coin are not allowed.

• Facial Piercings

Students are permitted to wear one single noise stud. Any other facial/body piercings (including tongues) are not acceptable. Students will not be allowed to be in school lessons with such piercings if they refuse to remove them.

• Make-up & Hair

Vibrant hair colours (including bright reds and purples) are not permitted and your child will be asked to change it. Large hair accessories such as bandanas or large flowers/bows are not allowed. Heavy makeup and/or bright nail colours are NOT permitted

• Lanyards

We kindly ask that you ensure that your child wears their ID Badge and lanyard in addition to their school uniform. This is common practice for staff and sixth form students across the Amethyst Trust. The ID badge supports our positive discipline system and allows staff to identify and recognise students for positive conduct and award points. Contributions must be made for replacement ID badges and lanyards due to loss or damage.

PE Kit

All jewellery (earrings, nose piercings, watches etc.) need to be removed for PE on Health & Safety grounds as this is one thing that we have battles with at the start of PE lessons and all hair needs to be tied up.
