Amethyst Academies Trust are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified/experienced Site Manager to contribute to the day-to-day running of the school site and buildings. You will work flexibly and in conjunction with the Head of Trust Estates, ensuring that the site runs efficiently and provides a safe environment for all, both in term-time and School holidays. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic and be able to carry out high standards of premises care and management with a positive attitude.

Catering Assistant

JOB TITLE: Catering Assistant

REPORTING TO: Catering manager

SALARY GRADE: NJC Pay Scale 2 (point 3) FTE £18,562. £8,562 (pro rata)

CLOSING DATE: 21st January 2022

WORKING HOURS: 10am -2pm (20 hours per week)

CONTACT: Term Time only

SITE: Moreton School

Key responsibilities:

To assist with, under the direction of the Catering Manager, the effective and efficient running of the School’s catering operation with due regard to providing a student focused service in line with current Government standards for school meals, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene Standards,  School Policies, School Financial Procedures and personal hygiene.

 

Main duties:

 

  1. To assist the Catering Manager in the preparing and cooking of fresh food to a high standard with due regard to food hygiene standards and health and safety.
  2. To assist in the service of hot and cold food while communication with pupils and using the till system.
  3. To assist or undertake the receiving and storing of supplies and equipment with due regard to Food Hygiene Standards and Health & Safety.
  4. To work on a rota system to become knowledgeable and efficient in all aspects of the catering operation.
  5. To assist with cleaning and maintenance of the kitchen environment.  To ensure that any identified risks requiring attention, eg for maintenance or Health & Safety reasons, are reported to the Catering Manager.
  6. To undertake any necessary training.
  7. To adhere to all contractual and School procedures for reporting illness, requesting time off etc.
  8. Any other duties commensurate with the grading of the post.
  9. To undertake any reasonable requests made by the Catering Manager.
  10. No direct supervisory responsibilities.
  11. Supervised by the Catering Manager.

Finance Assistant

We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic Finance/Administrative Assistant with the drive and motivation to work in a fast paced school office.

You must have experience of working in a similar capacity, be self-motivated, have an ability to work under pressure and remain calm, as well as the ability to relate to young people, colleagues, visitors and suppliers.

You will support the School Finance and Business Director and Chief Finance Officer through processing orders and investigating order related queries.  You will be required to administer petty cash, support with school banking procedures, work effectively as part of a team, display excellent interpersonal skills and possess a polite, professional telephone manner.

A good standard of literacy and numeracy skills is essential, together with experience of working with Xero, when necessary using SIMS.
